Up-front & monthly fees

Joining eXp

Initially, there is a one-time startup fee of $149, which covers the cost of the first month's subscription to eXp's extensive suite of tools and services. Following this, agents will incur a monthly fee of $85 for access to eXp's cloud brokerage, which includes virtual office access, education, technology, and support.

Cap & Split

  • Commission Split: eXp Realty offers an 80/20 commission split. This means agents keep 80% of their commission from each sale, while eXp Realty takes 20%.
  • Annual Cap: The annual cap at eXp Realty is $16,000. Once an agent has paid $16,000 to the brokerage in a year, they get to keep 100% of their commissions for the remainder of that anniversary year​.

Fees After Capping

  • After reaching the cap, agents pay a transaction fee of $250 per transaction for the next 20 transactions. Beyond that, the transaction fee reduces to $75 per transaction​.

ICON Status, Stock Options, & Investing

  1. Agent Equity Program: Agents can enroll to purchase eXp World Holdings (EXPI) stock at a 10% discount using 5% of their commission on each transaction. This allows agents to invest in the company directly from their earnings​.

  2. ICON Agent Award: Top-producing agents who meet certain production and cultural requirements can earn up to $16,000 in EXPI stock, effectively reimbursing their annual cap. This award is divided into $12,000 in stock upon meeting production goals and an additional $4,000 for participating in cultural activities such as mentoring or teaching​ (JaimeResendiz)​​ (RubyHome)​.

  3. Sustainable Equity Plan: Agents can earn stock awards by achieving specific milestones, such as closing their first transaction, reaching their annual cap, and attracting other agents to the company. This plan incentivizes agents to grow their business and contribute to the company's expansion​ (RubyHome)​.

Live Training Sessions

  • 60+ Hours Weekly: eXp Realty provides over 60 hours of live training sessions each week. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, including lead generation, marketing strategies, contract negotiations, and industry best practices​.
  • Guest Speakers and Workshops: The training includes workshops led by top-producing agents, industry experts, and guest speakers who share their insights and experiences​.

eXp University

  • On-Demand Training: Agents have access to a comprehensive library of on-demand training videos. These resources allow agents to learn at their own pace and revisit materials as needed​​.
  • Specialized Courses: eXp University offers specialized courses tailored to different aspects of real estate, such as technology tools, compliance, and personal development​.

Virtual Campus: eXp World

  • Interactive Learning: eXp World is a virtual campus where agents can attend live classes, participate in training sessions, and collaborate with other agents. This platform enhances the learning experience by providing an interactive and immersive environment​​.
  • Collaboration and Networking: Within eXp World, agents can network with peers, join group discussions, and get real-time support from eXp staff and mentors.

Mentor Program

  • Support for New Agents: New agents or those with fewer than three transactions in the past 12 months participate in the eXp Mentor Program. This program pairs them with experienced mentors who provide guidance and support through their initial transactions​​.
  • Additional Training: The mentor program includes additional training sessions focused on building foundational skills and knowledge essential for new agents​.
